Why Vim?

or Neovim. I mean both when I use either name.

If you have ever used something like Obsidian or Notion and gone through the process of developing your ideal note-taking environement.

Many people, myself included, use vim for quite similar reasons. It’s more like a framework meant to build your personal editor.

That’s also one of the reasons I’m not a huge fan[^*] of full configured distributions like LazyNvim.

Think of starting with an Obsidian that had 100 Plugins installed. Trying to Mimick Microsoft Word or Confluence.

Neovim will always be worse at being VSCode. And with so many moving parts, thinks thend to break more often than necessary.
