Friction is not always a bad thing

Usually when I think about friction, I think of it as something that we want to get rid of as much as possible.

But it’s actually a really useful tool, to prevent things from happening or making sure an action is performed deliberately.

It’s the “You sure you want to delete this?”, the “You have unsaved changes, really exit?” and so on.

And sometimes it’s a more subtle way of suggesting that “You’re doing it wrong”.
