Backpressure

For most of my career I misunderstood the term Backpressure. I thought it described the build-up that can happen when you have a queue and jobs come in faster than you can work them off. But it’s actually the mechanism on how you handle this build-up.. So you’re sort of pushing back on that pressure; not pressure you get from the back.
